Solutions ยท Currencies (FX)

Spot, forwards and hedge translation, on one book.

Spot positions, forward contracts and the hedges tied to them are tracked together. Currency exposure and its offsetting hedge are always read from the same ledger. Not compared across two systems.

What's supported

The detail underneath the asset class

Spot and forward tracking

Spot FX and forward contracts carried on the same ledger as the exposure they offset.

Hedge translation

Hedges linked directly to the positions they cover, valued together, not separately.

Rate reconciliation

FX rates matched against custodian and bank feeds, not assumed from a single source.

What's operationally different

A hedge is only useful if it's valued with what it's hedging

A currency hedge that lives in a different system from the position it covers is hard to evaluate honestly. Is it working. Is it the right size. Those questions are difficult to answer across two ledgers that update on different schedules.

Here, the hedge and the exposure it covers are the same position, viewed together. The answer to both questions is always current.
